Anne Marie Murphy, age 55, of Lansing, Iowa died Saturday, August 16, 1986 at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon, Iowa. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 19 at Immaculate Conception Church in Lansing with Father Herbert Tegeler officiating. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery with Burke-Thornburg Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were John Kerndt, Jr., Tom Linsey, John Hogan, Dan Brennan, Dennis O'Malley, and Harvey Halverson.

Anne was born March 24, 1931 in Waukon, Iowa to Theodore and Martha (Collins) Kerndt. On May 26, 1951 she married Daniel J. Murphy. She was a housewife and served as secretary at Immaculate Conception Church for many years where she was a member.

Surviving are 3 sons, Michael Murphy of Peoria, Illinois, Mark Murphy of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Dan Murphy, Jr., serving in the Army at Ft. Sheridan, Illinois; 2 daughters, Meg Murphy and Mollie Murphy, both of Lansing, Iowa, and 2 brothers Bill Kerndt and John Kerndt, both of Waukon, Iowa.
