Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Leonard Kelleher, age 84, died Thursday, October 30, 1986 at his home in Wexford, Allamakee County, Iowa. Services were held Monday, November 3 at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing, Iowa with Father Herbert Tegeler of Lansing and Father Larry Duenas of Waukon, Iowa officiating. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery in Lansing. Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Daryl Bolson, Bob and Paul Link, Don Kelleher, Pat Curran, and Jim Mooney.
Leonard was born July 21, 1902 in Wexford to Thomas "Tom" and Mary (Burns) Kelleher. On June 8, 1926 he married Mildred Guider in Wexford. He was a farmer and after moving to Lansing worked for the Lansing Feed Store until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Elmer Kelleher, Rueben Ted Kelleher, Sylvester Everett Kelleher, and a sister, Leona Weber.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred; a son Karl of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and a daughter, Mrs. Tony (Theresa) Link of Waukon, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, Bob Link of Waukon, Iowa, Mrs. Mike (Lori) Pfiffner of Lansing, Iowa, Margaret Link of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Paul Link of Waunakee, Wisconsin; 2 great-grandchildren, and 2 brothers, Merle Kelleher of Thornton Manor, Lansing, Iowa and Jim Kelleher of Lansing, Iowa.
