Raymond Schultz, age 70, of Waukon, Iowa died Thursday, March 19, 1987 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 21 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dorchester, Iowa with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Hanson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Greg Schultz, Tom Kerkenbush, Michael Hansmeier, Norman Rosendahl, Calvin Beardmore, and Merle Welper.

Raymond was born February 27, 1917 in Dorchester, Iowa to Henry and Mary Evelyn "Eva" (Burroughs) Schultz. He attended rural Dorchester schools and married Lillian Zieman on October 8, 1940 in Waukon, Iowa. She died December 21, 1985. He was a retired county road maintenance worker and had lived in Dorchester until moving to Waukon, Iowa about nine months ago. He was a member of St. Mary's Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lillian, and a brother Wilfred Schultz.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Harold (Annie) Spores of Waukon, Iowa, Mrs. Alfred (Loretta) Spores of New Albin, Iowa and Esther Schultz of Waukon, Iowa.
