Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Mary Mae Foley, age 94, died Tuesday, November 25, 1986 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon, Iowa. Services were held Saturday, November 29 at 11 a.m. at St.Ann-St.Joseph's Catholic Church in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. The Revs. John Peters of Traer, John Smith, and Edward Lechtenberg officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph's Paint Rock Cemetery with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Bob Blocklinger, Bill Foley, Mike Foley, Tom Hammell, Jeff Pisarik, and Brian Byrnes.
Mary was born December 19, 1891 in Eucald, Minnesota *or Euclid, MN* to Michael and Catherine (Kavanaugh) Tracy. She lived in Harpers Ferry, Iowa Allamakee County, most of her life. She attended Waukon Junior College. On June 8, 1915 she married Michael James Foley in St. Joseph's Church in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Harpers Ferry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Michael, a grandchild and a brother, Eugene Tracy of Ryegate, Montana.
Surviving are a daughter Mary Nagel of Marion, Iowa; 2 sons, Regis Foley of Waukon, Iowa and Leo Foley of Harpers Ferry, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Vaetz of Milwaukie, Oregon.
