Howe, age 79, of Waukon, Iowa were held Thursday April 24 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Larry Duenas officiating. He died Monday April 21, 1986 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were James Plein, Emmett Howe, Floyd Waters, James Nagel, Francis Plein, and Jim Campbell.
Donald was born November 11, 1906 to Edward and Grace (O'Donnell) Howe. He attended rural school. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and St. Patrick's Church.
He was preceded in death by his 3 brothers, Carl Howe, Francis Howe, and James Howe, and 2 sisters, Alice Abel and Mamie Dvergsten.
He is survived by two brothers, Walter Howe and Joseph Howe, and a sister, Leona A. Howe.
