Beulah M. Shurtleff, age 86, died Thursday, March 20, 1986 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon, Iowa. Services were held Friday, March 21 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Larry Olson officiating. Casket bearers were Lynn Morrow, Kenneth Peake, Donald Bulman, Walter Hagen, Russ Hagen, and Carlton Larsen. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery with Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

She was born May 7, 1899 in Murray, Iowa to Leon and Annie E. Valentine. She married Dr. Leonard Shurtleff April 9, 1930 in Murray. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, United Presbyterian Women, and the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband.
