Funeral services for Della A. Schauls, age 75, of Lansing, Iowa were held Saturday, January 18 at 10 a.m. from Immaculate Conception Church in Lansing, Iowa with burial in Gethsemane Cemetery there. The Rev. Robert P. Rahe officiating. Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home Lansing, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.

Della died January 15, 1986 at St. Francis Medical Center in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. She was born August 13, 1910 in New Albin, Iowa, the daughter of Christopher and Theresia (Thimmesch) Freilinger. She married Nick J. Schauls on May 12, 1936 in New Albin, Iowa. They farmed in the area.

She was preceded in death by a son and a sister, Rosa Rouster.

She is survived by her husband, Nick; 2 sons, Norman Schauls of Waterloo, Iowa and Ronald Schauls of Surfside, Florida; a daughter, Janet Fredrickson of Colona, Illinois; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Matt Freilinger of Monona, Iowa, Bill Freilinger of New Albin, Iowa; and 4 sisters, Hilda Foster of Caledonia, Minnesota, Clare Benjamin of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Doretta Strub of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, and Theresa Gander of Lansing, Iowa.
