Funeral services were held Friday, November 25 for John Frances Wiley, age 31, who died Tuesday, November 22, 1988 at the home of his parents in rural Lansing, Iowa. Pastor Mark Aurand conducted the 1 p.m. services held at Martin Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers were Rupert Caballero, Harry Lamphier, Michael Quillin, Charles Lonning, Jerry Wiley, and Thomas Denny.

John was born May 20, 1957 in Kalkaska, Michigan to Dr. Alden and Donna (Carlson) Wiley. He graduated from Waukon High School where he was active in track, wrestling, golf, and drama. He attended the University of Iowa for one year. He liked to read, backpack, golf, play chess, and any other outdoor activity.

He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Jerry of Waukon and David of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; a sister, Mrs. Thomas (Eva Jane) Denny of Mason City,, Iowa and grandparents, the Rev. and Mrs. C.F. Olin of Zephyr Hills, Florida and Mrs. Alta Wiley of West Union, Iowa.

The Rev. Claire F. Olin, age 84, died June 13, 1990 in Zephryhills, Florida. He was born November 20, 1905. He is survived by his wife, Eva, a son Fred Olin, 3 daughters, Bonna Bonham, Avis Janice of Gladwin, Michigan, LaNora Grindstaff of California; a step-son, Edwin Carlson of North Carolina and a step-daughter, Donna Jane Wiley of Lansing, Iowa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren in addition to a number of nieces and nephews.
