Helen A. Ford, age 64, died Thursday November 17, 1988 at her home in Waukon, Iowa. Funeral services were held Sunday, November 20 at Martin Funeral Home. The Rev. James Elvig of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church conducted the 2 p.m. services. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers were Clifford Held, Clark Ford, Roger Boleyn, Bob Penrod, Kevin McCormick and Wayne Kirkeby.

A lifelong area resident of Allamakee County, she was born November 24, 1923 in rural Wheatland to Charles and Ida (Welper) King. She attended school in the Wheatland area. On June 15, 1946 she married Edward A. Ford in Waukon, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by two children, Debbie, 18 months and Randy, age 4. Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Keith (Virginia) Held of Bellingham, Washington and Sandra Ludeking of Pennsville, New Jersey; four sons, Rocky and Darrell, both of Waukon,, Iowa, Dennis of Douglasville, Pennsylvania, and Terry of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; six grandchildren and a brother, Bernard King of Waukon, Iowa.
