J.A. 'Bert' Cook, died 1941

COOK, FRANKLIN, CAMPBELL, MCGHEE

J.A. (Bert) Cook, 79, a former Postville resident and known to many of our readers as the brother of Mrs. Flora Franklin and Mrs. Gwendolyn Campbell of this city, passed away at his home near Republic, Washington, last Thursday. Funeral services were held Saturday at Wilbur, Washington. The deceased was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Cook of Postville. He lived here until 1910 when he went to Washington where he taught school for many years. He is survived by his widow; two sons passed away several years ago. In addition to Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. Franklin, he is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Myrta McGhee of Dubuque, and a brother, Perry E. Cook of Waterloo.
