Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 13, 1989 for Waukon, Iowa resident, Angela Howes, 89, who died Sunday, December 10, 1989 at Veterans Memorial Hospital. Father John Moser conducted the 11 a.m. services at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Born April 27, 1900 in Waukon, she was the youngest of Charles and Mary Ann (Waldron) Regan's ten children and attended Center Township School. She was married to Pete Rikos and they lived in Chicago, Illinois. She returned to Waukon after his death. In 1940 she married William Howes at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Waukon. She was a member of St. Pat's Church, St. Theresa Club, VFW Auxiliary and the auxiliary's Gold STar Club.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John (Ruth Ann) Clauson, 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, a son James Rikos, a daughter Rita Schwartzhoff, four brothers, Charles, Pete, Con, and Dan Regan, and five sisters, Sister Cornelia, Ella Ryan, Alice Keating, Winifred Baxter, and Celia DeVre.

Casket bearers were John and Bill Clauson, Mike and Greg Schwartzhoff, Ron Regan, and Ralph Grotegut. Honorary pallbearers were Dan Regan, Dick Takin, Keith Fahey, and Ed Ryan.
