Harold M. Quanrude, 72, of Waukon, Iowa died Monday December 11, 1989 at St. Francis Medical Center in LaCrosse, WI. Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 14 at St.Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Ed Lechtenberg officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Harold was born March 2, 1917 to Henry and Agnes (Fenholt) Quanrude and attended Allamakee County schools through the eighth grade. On May 20, 1942 he married Ursula Becker in Lansing, Iowa. He had worked for Duffy Feed in Waukon and Swiss Valley Coop in Luana, Iowa. He was a member of the St.Patrick's Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife, three sons, Ron of St.Paul, MN and LaVern and Terry of Waukon; three daughters, Mrs. Ron (Merle Jane) Belz of Decorah, Mrs. Bob (Eileen) Madison of Goldfield, Iowa, and Mrs. Tom(Dianne) O'Neill of Waukon. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and three sisters, Palma Quandahl of Des Moines, Iowa, Hazel Kolsrud of Muscatine, Iowa, and Vivian Quanrude of Iowa City, Iowa.

Casket bearers were Kenny Becker, Milton Iverson, Chester Fenholt, Gene and Roy Burroughs, Jerry McCabe, and Pat Ahearn.
