Funeral services were held at Moline, Illinois for Gerald Carl Evans, age 66, at the Esterdahl Funeral home, April 6 with Rev. Stanley Johnson officiating. Burial was at Memorial Gardens in Moline, Illinois.

Gerald Carl Evans, son of Carl and Leta Rose Evans, was born Nov. 20, 1911 near Volney. His boyhood was spent around Volney and Rossville, and he attended the local school at Rossville. In 1943 he married Katherine Ward of Hastings, Nebr. In 1945 he moved to East Moline, Illinois and was employed at John Deere Harvester for twenty-four years, and retired of ill health in 1972.

Gerald leaves to mourn his passing his wife, four children and nine grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Leta Liddle of the Good Samaritan Home; one sister, Mrs. Felix (Velma) Mortiz, one brother, Earl. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Lyle.
