DIED
At her home in Postville, Sept. 10th, of paralysis, HANNAH, wife of John Pixler, aged 73 years, 7 months and 18 days.

Hannah Sprague was born in Vermont, January 23rd, 1820. When 20 years of age she was married to George French, in Versailles, Ripley county, Indiana. In the thirty-eight years of their married life, spent in this county, they had twelve children, eight of whom are living today, three sons and five daughters, all of whom have families of their own.

Three years after the death of Mr. French she married John Pixler, with whom she has lived the last thirteen years in Postville. Her children are scattered, several of them living in the Dakotas, only one -- Harvey -- living near the old homestead, near Frankville, being present at the closing scenes of the aged mother's life.

In early years deceased was a member of the Baptist church, but in later years has not been in church relation, and owing to the infirmities of age and long continued sickness has been unable to attend service had she so willed.

She was an industrious, hard-working woman, to whom this life offered but few of its luxuries. The funeral service was held in the Congregational church yesterday afternoon. The bereaved husband and family have the sympathy of the neigborhood.
