Laundry Co. Engineer Passes Away - Resident 50 Years
John Shields, 67, of 201 Dixon St., died at his home Tuesday, after an illness. He had been an engineer for the 3-F Laundry Co. of Madison for 20 years and a resident of Madison for 50 years.
His wife died in 1934. He is survived by two uncles. A.J.McCormick, Madison, and Sruart McCormick, Chicago.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 8:30 in the Joyce Funeral Home and at 9 in St. Raphael's Church, with the Rev. Fr. William Mahoney, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Spring, Clarence Power, Jeffrey Power, John Cunnin, John Cassidy, Gregory McCormick.
