Rites Held For Ludlow Man
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in Ludlow for Ed Fiet, 59, who passed away at his home last Thursday morning. The rites were in charge of Rev. John Bartell. The Schutte Funeral Home was in charge.
Ed Fiet, son of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Fiet, was born January 27, 1892 in Ludlow Township and passed away at his home Thursday morning, July 26, at the age of 59 years.
He had not felt well for several years and his condition became serious last year.
He was baptized at the Zalmona Presbyterian Church in 1892 and united with the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in 1906.
Mr Fiet grew to manhood in Ludlow township. He was united in marriage to Meta Blum on November 5, 1914. To this union two children were born, both of whom survive the passing of their father. The departed lived on the farm in Ludlow until the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, two children, Arthur of Waukon, and Edith (Mrs. Lester H. Teslow) of Decorah; two sisters Minnie (Mrs. Ed Stock), Martha (Mrs. George Winkie), three brothers, Paul, Albert, and Walter, all of Ludlow, and four grandchildren.
One brother John and one sister, Mary (Mrs. Ed Ludeking) preceded him in death within nine months of his death. One sister died in infancy.
