Services were held Sunday, December 3 at 1:30 p.m. from Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, Ludlow Township, for Benjamin H. Flage who died December 1 at the Community Memorial Hospital, Postville. The Rev. Keith Kensinger officiated.

Benjamin H. Flage, son of Frederick and Sophie (Bollhofer) Flage, was born February 12, 1889 in Ludlow Township, Allamakee County. He was confirmed April 3, 1904 and on February 26, 1914 was united in marriage to Meta Lydia Held. The couple farmed and after his retirement to Postville Mr. Flage worked as a carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his wife Meta and three brothers. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Roland (Esther) Kiesau, Waukon; four sons, Albert of Gainesville, Florida; Irvin, Ralph and Leo of Postville; two brothers, Elmer of Postville and Clarence of Waukon; 15 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
