Funeral services for Elnora 'Nora' Fiet, 91, were held Monday, March 5, 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, rural Postville. Rev. James Elvig officiated. Burial was in Bethlehem Presbyterian Cemetery. Martin's of Waukon were in charge of arrangements.

Elnora Lydia Pauline Blum Fiet was born January 23, 1899 to parents William and Julia Adam Blum. She attended rural Ludlow Schools #7 and #8. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church.

On April 20, 1917 she married Albert A. Fiet at the farm home of Nora's parents. She lived her entire life on the same farm which has been in the family 113 years. The last 4 years she has been at the Good Samaritan Center.

She was a member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church where she was very active. She was a Sunday School and Bible School teacher many years, a Bible study leader and sang in the choir as well as being a member of the Ladies Aid.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Albert, Jan. 16, 1974; one daughter, Mildred (Mrs. Willard Adam), Nov. 28, 1978; and a sister, Meta Fiet.

Surviving are a son, Robert Fiet of Postville; eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were 8 grandsons and granddaughter's husbands: Loren Fiet, Donice Adam, David Adam, Lyle Guese, Terry Mohs, Dennis Davies, Dennis Hinrichs and Harold Jacobson.
