MARIE PROMNITZ DIES TUESDAY

Marie A. Promnitz, Waukon, died July 29 in her home. She was 78.
She was born February 27, 1902 in Sweden, the daughter of Alex and Anna Schon Sundquist.

She married Leo Promnitz August 3, 1926 in Nashua. He preceded her in death Nov. 2, 1966.

Surviving are two sons, Donald of Fresno, CA, and Robert of Waukon and six grandchildren.

She attended local schools, and was a housewife. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ and the American Legion auxiliary.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 31 at the Zion United Church of Christ with the Rev. Stan Luginbill officiating. Burial will be at Oakland cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ralph Schon, Donald Schon, Paul Promnitz, Mark Promnitz, David Schon and Jeff Schon.

Martin funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
