Dora F. Kostman , 85, of 502 4th Avenue SW, Waukon, died Sept. 27, 1992 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon.

She was born Sept. 4, 1907 in Oberlin, Kan. to parents, Edwin and Anna Belle (Greenhalgh) Cooper. She attended the rural Allamakee County Schools. She was married to Paul Kostman on Aug. 22, 1928 at the Baptist Parsonage in Waukon. She farmed with her husband in Ludlow Township until 1979, when they moved to Waukon. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Waukon and the Missionary and Esther Circles.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Neil (Delores) Howe of Bangor, Wis. and Mrs. Gary (Caryl) Leiran of Postville; one son, Delmar (Janet) Kostman of Marquette; one brother, Delbert (Lucille) Cooper of Onalaska, Wis.; one daughter-in-law, Betty Kostman of Postville; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Paul on Sept. 5, 1991; a son Paul; grandchildren John and Julie Kostman; brothers Glen, George, Donald, Hubert, and Harmon Cooper; and sisters, Vesta Carlson, Birdie Cooper, Marie Carlton and Augusta Cathcart.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ, the Rev. Terrance P. Hennesy officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers were David, Jerry, Donald, Ronald and Matthew Kostman, Marti and James Leiran and Richard and Dan Howe.

Martin Funeral Home of Waukon was in charge of arrangements.
