Wallace Gordon, 71, Passes on Saturday
Had Been Lifelong Resident Of This Community

Wallace Gordon, 71, passed away last Saturday morning at his home in this city and funeral services are being held this afternoon at two o'clock in the Schutte Funeral Home and at 2:30 in the Community Presbyterian church, with the Rev. J. Ian Fraser officiating. Burial will be in Postville cemetery.
Mr. Gordon was born September 25, 1869, on the home farm, three miles southwest of Postville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Gordon. He grew to manhood on the farm and followed farming as an occupation for a number of years. He moved to Postville in 1914 and this has been his home since.
On May 28, 1903, he was married to Miss Annie Handel and to them were born five sons and one daughter, all of whom with Mrs. Gordon, survive him. They are, Harvey of Independence, Mrs. Edna O'Brien, Beverly Hills, Calif., Ralph of Inglewood, Calif., Eldo of West Los Angeles, Calif., and Richard and Virgil of Postville. Four grandchildren also survive, as do five brothers, Oscar Gordon of Waterloo, John Gordon of Mason City, Robert Gordon of Waukon, Howard and Frank Gordon of this community.
