PHIL HALE HARRIS

Rites Set For Former Resident

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, September 9, at the Helblethwaite Funeral Chapel, Evanston, Illinois for Phil Hale Harris, with burial at the Forest Home Cemetery, Forest Park, Illinois. Masonic services will be conducted by Evans Lodge No. 524, AF & AM, for Norman, Oklahoma Lodge No. 38, of which the deceased was a member. The VKW will be in charge of graveside services.

Phil Hale Harris was born December 25, 1916, the son of Martin Harris and Arvilla Brainard Harris at Castalia. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the navy. He was a truck driver by trade. He passed away after a sickness of about a year and a half.

The deceased was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Donella Harris of 604 Ridge Circle, Streamwood, Illinois; two daughters, Joan, Mrs. Philip F. Gosenski, Jr. of Chicago, and Miss Phyllis Harris at home; three sisters, Beth, Mrs. Glenn Gustafson of Lansing, Michigan; Hope, Mrs. Patrick Scully of Skokie, Illinois; Leah, Mrs. Lyle Zieman of Luana; one brother, Lt. Col. Paul H. Harris, USAF, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
