Pfc. FRANK R. HARRIS

Funeral services for PFC. Frank R. Harris were held Tuesday, April 26 at 9 a.m. at Community Presbyterian Church, Postville. The Rev. Dennis E. Morey officiated. The Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

A committal service was held Friday, April 27 at 10 a.m. at the Antioch Cemetery, Jacksonville, IL.

Frank R. Harris, the son of Samuel T. and Ida (Drinkwater) Harris, was born Nov. 23, 1962 at Community Memorial Hospital, Postville. He died April 24, 1984 as the result of a motorcycle accident near Fayetteville, NC.

He was baptized at Community Presbyterian Church March 22, 1964. He attended Postville Community Schools, where he graduated May 24, 1981.

He entered the United States Army in October, 1982 and became a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joe Drinkwater, and his paternal grandparents, Andrew O. and Louise (Robertson) Harris.

Surviving are his parents, Samuel and Ida Harris, Postville; three brothers, Jeffery, Garden City, KS, Joe, Cedar Rapids, and Thomas Ross, Postville; two sisters, Linda Greenhaw, Missoula, MT, and Judith Fritz, Los Gatos, CA; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Joe Drinkwater, Virginia, IL.
