Anna Spores of Waukon, died Sunday, July 23, at Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI. Funeral services are pending with Martin Funeral Home.

Anna Marguerite Schultz was born in 1913 in Union City Township, Allamakee County, Iowa, to Henry William & Mary Evaline "Eva" (Burroughs) Schultz, Jr. She was married to Harold R. Spores, Sr. (1904-1991), and had one child, Harold R. Spores, Jr. (1936-2005)

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 26 for Anna Margurite Spores, age 75, who died Sunday, July 23,1989 at Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. The 1:30 p.m. services were held at Martin Funeral Chapel in Waukon, Iowa with Pastor Verdon Swenson officiating. Burial was in the Dorchester Methodist Cemetery, Dorchester, Iowa. Casket bearers were Gaylord and Darrel Spores, Gary Knickerbocker, Wilford Schultz, Merlin Nelson, and Calvin Beardmore.
Anna was born August 25, 1913 in Dorchester, Iowa to Henry and Mary (Burroughs) Schultz. She attended rural Dorchester schools through the eighth grade, first at English Bench School and then Bee School. On January 18, 1933 she married Harold R. Spores in Dorchester, Iowa. Having lived most of her life in Dorchester, she moved to Southcrest Manor in 1986 and then to the County Care Facility in July 1987. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dorchester, and its Ladies Aid. She was a former custodian at the church.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilford and Raymond Schultz.
Surviving are her husband, son, Harold "Junior" Spores of Luana, Iowa, a granddaughter, Christine, and two sisters, Loretta Spores of New Albin, Iowa and Esther Schultz of Waukon, Iowa.
