Theodore Dee of Lansing is Dead
Heart Attack is cause of sudden demise; Came to America 55 years ago.
Stricken suddenly with a heart attack, Theodore Dee of Lansing passed away February 7th at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Gus Schultz in Lansing.
Mr. Dee would have been 84 years old next Tuesday.
He was born in Brandenberg, Germany, February 14, 1876, he was married to Wilhelmina Zehrendt in Germany, who bore him five children. They are; Mrs. Gus Schultz of Lansing; Mrs. Herman Schmeiden and Mrs. Bernard Wurtzel of Center township, Mrs. Fred Steiber of Lafayette township, and a son, Theodore, of Lafayette.
Two brothers and one sister survive Mr. Dee, Gus and Charles of Lansing, and Mrs. August Kuehn of Waukon.
Until he retired to move to Lansing, Mr. Dee was an active and capable farmer all of his life, He was a valued member of the Evangelical church of Lansing, and highly regarded by those whose regard he held.
Funeral arrangements are not definite. They are scheduled for Friday at 1:30 p. m., but if relatives in California wire that they will be able to be present, the services will be postphoned. Interment will be at Oak Hill cemetery, and Reverend E. R. Walter will officiate.From Grandmothers scrapbook
