Mrs. Nierling's Funeral Will Be Held Saturday
Funeral Services will be in charge of Martin's at 10 Saturday for Mrs. A.T. Nierling, who died at Sunset Haven nursing home here this morning. She had been in poor health for a long time.
Mrs. Nierling was a lifelong resident of this county. She was born Sept. 1 1872, in Ludlow Township, daughter of the James Shaffs. She was formerly Estella Shaff.
Mr. Nierling preceded her,and she leaves no brothers or sisters. One son, Roy Meikle preceded her, and one son, James Meikle, Cresco, remains.
Seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also remain.
Mrs. Nierling was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors lodge and St. Paul Methoidst church. Pallbearers at her funeral will be Earl Jones, Floyd Larson, John Palmer, James Sander, John Dotseth and Lud Larsen. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.

Mrs. Estelle Nierling
Waukon, Ia-Mrs. Estelle Nierling, 87, a native of Allamakee County, died Thursday morning at a nursing home in Waukon following a period of long illness.
Mrs. Nierling operated the New Grand Hotel in Waukon for over 40 years. She retired about 10 years ago due to ill health.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Martin Funeral Home.
She is survived by one son, James Meikle,Waukon.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
