Hubert Mounce Burial July 3

Funeral services for Hubert E. Mounce, 65, Lisbon, were held July 3 at 1:30 p.m. at the Morgan Funeral Home, Lisbon. Rev. Burton Harger of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Mount Vernon, officiated. Burial followed at the Lisbon Cemetery. Graveside services were by Lisbon American Legion Cyclops Post 109.

Hubert E. Mounce was born Aug. 16, 1918 at Center Point. He died June 30 at the Veterans Hospital, Iowa City of a heart attack. He served with the U. S. Army in Europe during World War II.

He married Irene Everman, Postville, Feb. 21, 1946 at Cedar Rapids. He is survived by his wife, one son, Douglas of Central City, three daughters, Cheryl Kurtz and Sondra Havill of Mount Vernon, Kelly Mounce of Marion, his mother, Helen of Alburnett, one sister, Gladys Naylor of Alburnett and five grandchildren.
