Death of Mrs. Thomas Uren

Viola Christina Kenney was born in Rush, Ill., Oct. 2, 1871, and died at her home near Church at 10 am. Monday of last week, at the age of 63 years, seven months and 25 days.

She was married to Thomas Uren at South Wayne, Wis., on March 28, 1895, and she leaves her husband and five children: Mrs. Raymond Shogren, Archie and Mrs. George Schellhammer, of Lansing; Lester of Waterloo, and Myrtle, at home. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Parsons of Schullsburg, Wis., and Mrs. Laura Bonjour of Apple River, Wis.; 16 grandchildren, and a host of friends.

She was converted at the Rush Evangelical church while residing in Illinois. In 1910 they came to Iowa and located near Church, where she had lived since. She has been in poor health several months past and died peacefully after an attack of measles..

Funeral services were held from the home in Center township at 2 p.m. Wednesday of last week, with the Rev. C. H. Hoffman in charge.
