James Flynn

James Flynn, age 74, of Lansing died Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at his residence in Lansing.

Graveside services were held Saturday, January 19 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lansing with Pastor Steven Hubbell officiating. The Thornburg Hanson Funeral Home in Lansing assisted the family.

Jim was born in Excelsior, WI July 17, 1933 to James and Mardella (Dyer) Flynn. He married Hazel Schobert November 9, 1963 in Waukon.

Over the years Jim had worked as a truck driver and did lawn repair. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing. Living along the Mississippi, he enjoyed watching all the river activities.

He is survived by wife, Hazel Flynn of Lansing; three children, Mike Flynn of Lansing, Deb (Terry) Monroe of Hawkeye and Jason Flynn of Lansing; four grandchildren, Ryan, Brent and Allison Fladhammer and Michael Flynn; and two siblings, Betty (Larry) Frye of Monona and Donna McCormick of Madison, WI.

James was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John and Laddie Flynn.
