Mary Louise (McShane) Geno (1891-1971)

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 20 at 1:30 at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon for Mrs. Mary Louise Geno of Franklin township who died Monday, May 17 (1971) in Waukon Veterans Memorial hospital. She had been a patient for two weeks.

The Rev. William Tjaden will officiate and burial will be in Smithfield Cemetery.

Mary Louise McShane was born March 28, 1891 in Allamakee county and was a daughter of Albert and Elizabeth Roderick McShane. She was educated in the local schools and July 23, 1909 married Joseph Geno in Waukon. He preceded her in death in 1936.

Survivors are two sons, Leonard of Ferryville, Wisconsin and LaVerne of Postville, and two daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Ruth) Schutte of Postville and Mrs. Jessie Lund of Lansing. Twelve (grand?) children and five (great?) grandchildren; two brothers, Henry McShane and Glenn McShane of Luana, and a sister, Mrs. Cullen (Elizabeth) Henderson of Waukon also survive.
