Gertrude E. Thiele

Memorial services for Gertrude E. Thiele, 61, were held Friday, Dec. 30, 1983 at 2 p.m. at Rice Chapel, Brighton, CO. The Rev. Steven L. Dreher officiated.

Gertrude E. Thiele, daughter of Frank and Nellie (Fry) Tehel, was born May 5, 1922 at Castalia. She died Dec. 27, 1983 at Denver Presbyterian Hospital. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

She was married to Merlyn E. Thiele May 31, 1941 at Lancaster, MO. They were the parents of one son and one daughter. They moved to Brighton, CO in 1961 from Waterloo, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank A. Tehel in 1977.

Surviving are her husband Merlyn E. Thiele, Brighton; a son, James E. Thiele, Brighton, a daughter, Margaret L. Thiele, Fayette; a brother, Ray Tehel, Harpers Ferry and a sister, Catherine Nelson, West Concord, MN; one grandchild, two step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.
