FRANK TEHEL, Sr.

Services were held Tuesday, January 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home, Postville for Frank Tehel, Sr., who died Saturday, January 17 at the Community Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Curtis Webster officiated.

Frank was born January 20, 1889, the son of Frank and Elizabeth Dvorak Tehel, at Pipestone, Minnesota.

On October 26, 1912 he was married to Nellie Fry [Frey]. Mr. Tehel was a cattle buyer, living in Cedar Rapids, Tipton and Castalia. The couple moved to Postville in 1942 and to Monona in 1946.

He is survived by two sons: Frank A. of Postville, Raymond F. of Sumner; two daughters: Mrs. Catherine Dahms of West Concord, Minnesota and Mrs. Merlyn (Gertrude) Thiele, of Brighton, Colorado. There are 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.
