Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon at the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville for Mrs. Henry Lawson, 77, who passed away their home in Postville January 26. Rev. Curtis H. Webster of the Forest Mills E. U. B. Church officiated. Burial was in Postville cemetery.

Annie McWilliams, daughter of Nathaniel and Mary McWilliams, was born June 17, 1877 in Post township, Allamakee county, Iowa, and passed away at her home in Postville, Iowa January 26, 1954 at the age of 77 years, seven months and nine days.

She received her early education in the rural schools of Post township. On March 13, 1895 she was united in marriage to Henry Lawson of Post township in Postville by the mayor of the city, John Hart.

Mrs. Lawson lived her entire life in this community with her husband who in the early years of their marriage was engaged in farming and contracting work. In later years they operated a restaurant in Postville until their retirement several years ago.

To this union was born five children: Elwood, of Caledonia, Minnesota; Harold of McGregor; Clara, Mrs. John Dundee, of Waukon; Elma, Mrs. Harold Brown, who preceded her in death February 3, 1953; and Mary Ellen, who died in infancy.

In addition to her children and her husband she leaves to mourn her passing one brother, Alec McWilliams, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, 20 grandchildren and 32 great
grandchildren.
