MRS. HENRY SHERMAN

On Sunday January 26, occurred the death of Louise F. Sherman at the age of 75 years.

Louise Osterhage was born April 7, 1833, at Talle, Germany, and in 1855 came to America, first locating at Quincy, Ill. There she was married to Henry Sherman October 12, 1856, and they came at once to Allamakee county which has since been her home. To them were born six sons and two daughters, five of whom survive the mother. Fred and George in South Dakota and August, Lou and Lena at home. Mr. Sherman died March 7, 1905. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the German Reformed church, conducted by Rev. G.D. Elliker.
