SIMON SNITKER

By the death of Simon Snitker which ocurred Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Gus Meier, living east of Waukon, this community loses another of the older residents. He was born at Asendorf, Germany, March 16, 1841, and came to this country when he was twenty-six years of age, settling in Ludlow township. In 1870 he was married to Mrs Amelia Schroeder, and to them two daughters were born, Mrs. Gus Meier and Mrs. Charles Kruger, both of whom survive him, the mother passing away about a year ago.

Funeral services were held in the German Presbyterian church in South Ludlow, Tuesday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Jansen assisted by Rev. G.D. Elliker, of this city.
