The death of Paul C. Bakke, 82, of Waukon, occurred on Thursday, July 29, at Waukon Veterans Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held on Monday at 10 a.m. from St. John's Lutheran Church with REv. Marlyn Hansing officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.

He was born June 23, 1894, in Waukon to John and Isabelle Haugen Bakke. He was married on August 12, 1919 to Julia Johnson who died June 13, 1967.

Mr. Bakke was a retired funeral director and was a former partner of the Bakke and Hanson Funeral Home, Waukon. He also conducted a furniture store.

He is survived by one son, John P. Bakke, Memphis, Tenn.; 3 grandchildren; two sisters, Idelia Bakke and Mrs. Alert (Gusta) Roe, and two brothers, Ingvold and Melvin Bakke, all of Waukon.

Bakke and Hanson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
