DEATH - The sad news was received from Mechanicsville, Iowa, yesterday, of the death of Mrs. B.W. Rowell, nee Alice Quinn, of that city which took place Monday evening at 8 o'clock, from rheumatism, it is supposed, as she had been troubled with that disease for some time past.

Deceased was a bride of only four months and her death is a hard blow to relatives and will be read with regret by many friends here at her old home.

Note: Mechanicsville is in Cedar Co. Iowa. Cedar Co. cemetery records show Alice Anna Rowel, w/o William, died 5/12/1884 Buried in Rose Hill cemetery, Pioneer twp.; NW of Mechanicsville. Her parents were Michael (d. 1879) and Mary (Laughlin) Quinn, died 1894, both buried Lansing.
