LOVE, FISH, KINNEY, MILLER, VERDON, WINCH, PHILLIPS

New Albin, Ia., Nov. 13 - Mrs. Abner Love, a resident of this locality the past 80 years, died at the family home on Sunday after a brief illness.

The deceased, whose maiden name was Mary Fish, was born near St. Croix, Wis., Oct 1, 1850, coming to this locality with her parents when an infant. This community had since been her home.

On May 17, 1867, at Lansing, she was married to Abner Love, and to this union nine children were born, eight of whom survive, her husband also preceding her in death. Surviving are Mrs. Charles Kinney, Minneapolis; Mrs. John Miller, La Crosse, Wis.; Mrs. Mose Verdon, Fremont, Wis.; Mrs. Lloyd Winch, Minneapolis; Frank, Carlyle, Ia.; Daniel, Lansing; Charles, Minneapolis, and Jahn at the family home near here; also a sister, Mrs. Gussie Phillips, Compton, Cal., and two brothers, Frank and Edward Fish, New Albin.

Funeral services were held Wednesday from the family home to the New Albin M.E. church, the Rev. J.H. Barr conducting the services, with burial in the New Albin cemetery. Casket bearers were William Gordon, James Reed, James and John McKee and Frank and Edward Sadd.
