BOLTZ, TEMPLE, BENNETT, SANDRY, SWEAT, PALMER

Mary Temple was born in Luxemburg on September 5, 1848. At the age of 9 years, she bade farewell to her native land and with her parents came to America, settling at Dubuque, later moving to Mays Prairie, where she grew to young womanhood. Later they move to the Sand Cove in Iowa township, where she resided until about two years ago, when she came to this city, and made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Andrew Sandry.

She was united in marriage to Gideon Bennett, and to this union was born two daughters. Mr. Bennett was killed by lightning in May, 1874*.

Her marriage to Peter Boltz took place in November, 1875, and to this union was born five sons and two daughters, one daughter, Mary Kathryn, and two sons, Joseph and Nicholas, preceding her in death. Mr. Boltz also preceded her in death, passing away about 12 years ago.

Those left to mourn the passing of a kind mother, are the five sons: John of Dilworth, Minn.; Jake, Peter and Tade of New Albin; and Levi, of Meadow Brook, Minn.; also three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Sweat and Mrs. Andrew Sandry of New Albin; and Mrs. John Palmer of Canada; she also leaves to mourn her death, 24 grandchildren and one great grandchild; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Boltz has been in fairly good health until about a week ago, when she became ill, and passed away last Friday afternoon at 12:20 o'clock.

The largely attended funeral was held Monday morning from the home to st. Joseph's Catholic church, where funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. Hayes. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.

The casket bearers were Larry Welsh, J.T. Ryan, E. Kerrigan, D.H. Higgins, Mike Donovan and Con Moore.

Out of town folks in attendance at the funeral were Mrs. Peter and Mrs. Nicholas Pettitt of Plainview, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miller of Caledonia, Minn.; JOhn Boltz of Dilworth, Minn.; Mrs. Anna Burkhart of Plainview, Minn.; and Mr. and Mrs. Levi Boltz and family of Meadow Brook, Minn.

We, the undersigned, hereby wish to express our sincere thans to our many neighbors and friends, who so kindly assisted us during the illness and death of our dear mother, Mrs. Mary Boltz. We also wish to express our thanks to those that consoled us during out great bereavement, and to the doners of cars.
