Waukon woman dies of injuries

Waukon -- Last week's snowstorm has claimed another life in Eastern Iowa.

Alice Magner, 29, of Waukon died about 6:30 p.m. Friday at a La Crosse, Wis., hospital where she was being treated for head and other injuries suffered in an accident Feb. 23 on Iowa Highway 9, a mile and a half north of Waukon. The accident occurred in the midst of a snowstorm when the pickup truck she was driving collided head-on with a semitrailer truck driven by John Koster, 35, of Rockwell.

Services are scheduled Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lycurgus.
