ENGELHORN, WESTPHAL, BIER, WENDELL, DECKER, MILLER, DOERFLER

Mrs. Dora Engelhorn, relict of the late Mat Engelhorn of Lansing township, died on March 7th at Indianapolis, Ind., where she had been in hospital since October last, treating for sarcoma of the breast.

Deceased's maiden name was Dora Westphal. She was born in Germany sixty-five years ago the 10th of last January. On October 6, 1873, she married Mat Engelhorn, who preceded her in death many years ago.

Mrs. Engelhorn is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Theo. Bier of Oshkosh, Wis., Mrs. J.W. Wendell and Mrs. Ben Decker of Church, and one son Henry of this township, with whom she made her home, also two stepsons, Abraham Engelhorn of North Fondulac, Wis., and Sam, late of this township, but now en route to Oregon. Another daughter, Mrs. Wm. Miller of Davenport, was buried here Dec. 31st last.

The remains arrived Friday and next afternoon, from the Congregational church at Church, of which deceased was a faithful and zealous member, occurred the funeral, Rev. Kegel of this city, officiating.

Among relatives from out of town were the following: Chris. Westphal, Davenport, brother; Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Bier, Oshkosh, Wis.; Abraham Engelhorn, North Fondulac, Wis.; Wm. Miller, Davenport and Mrs. L. Doerfler, Dubuque.
