The well-known seamstress, who went to La Crosse a week ago yesterday and was operated at the Lutheran hospital for gallstones, died Tuesday afternoon, as a result of pneumonia setting in.
She was a most estimable young woman and had made this city her home for a number of years, being brought from Sweden when a little girl by the late C.J. Erickson, of Center township. She made a trip to Sweden some years ago, bringing back with her a sister, who is married and living in North McGregor. A mother and sister still reside in Sweden, we believe.
The remains will arrive at 6 o'clock this evening and be taken to the home of Erick Eastman, on the Park, where she roomed, and from whence the funeral will occur tomorrow afternoon, Rev. Bengston of the Swediah Baptist church officiating. Interment in Oak Hill cemetery.
