This community is called upon to mourn the loss of one of its foremost citizens and good man in the demise Sunday, at La Crosse hospital, of Mr. John Wild, the lumberman, who was operated on for appendicitis Thursday.

His death is a great loss to the wife and four children and his aged parents who survive him.

He was a member of the band and of the Woodman lodge and engaged in business with his brother Fred.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the house, under auspices of the Woodmen and his remains will be laid to rest in New Albin cemetery.

Mr. John Wild of New Albin died at a La Crosse hospital Monday morning, after an operation for appendicitis. Mr. Wild leaves a wife and four children.

La Crosse, Wis., Aug. 10 - John Wild, a well known lumberman of New Albin, Ia., died at the hospital in this city Sunday, of appendicitis. The remains were shipped to New Albin for interment.
