Five deaths result in one Family from Diphtheria in Clothing.
La Crosse, Wis., Feb. 6.—News has reached here of the death of a whole family of five, named Buckendahl, residing near New Albin, of diphtheria. The oldest boy had worked several years in Aberdeen, S. D., and a few weeks ago was taken ill with diphtheria. Before his death he requested that his effects be sent home to New Albin, which was done. A suit of clothes worn by him were worn by his brother. Several days later the brother was taken sick, as were four others in the family, all of whom died.
