Martha Graham passed away September 16, 1974, at Community Memorial Hospital at Postville, at the age of 86 years, 6 months and 8 days. She leaves to mourn her death her two sons and a daughter, 12 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Carrie Scott of Laverne, Minn., Mrs. Lee (Gladys) Huffman of Rossville, Iowa, and one brother H. Leslie Leas of Monona. Services were held at Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona on Thursday, Sept. 19. The Rev. Curtis Webster officiated. Burial was in the Monona City Cemetery, I.O.O.F. section. Pallbearers were Harvey Montour, Harold Rose, Harry Straate, Eugene Graham, Richard Elliott and Lawrence Ricke.

Martha Jane Graham, daughter of Albertus Leas and Katherine (Dunn) Leas was born March 8, 1888, in the Big Foot area of Allamakee county. On May 2, 1906, she was married to Herbert A. Graham at Waukon. Three children were born to them: Cyril Sidney of Rochester, Minnesota, Sheridan Arlo of Monona, and Mrs. Daryl (Luella) Rolling, Marble, Minnesota.

They farmed in Rossville for 13 years, then moved to Prosper, Minn., where they farmed for 27 years. When their health began to fail, moved back to Waukon for 17 years on a small acreage. In April, 1964, they moved to Monona and retired. Her husband Herbert, passed away in January, 1968. She then made her home with her son, Arlo, in Monona, until June, 1973, when she entered the rest home in Postville.
