Robert John Deeney, Pullman hotel, a Cedar Rapids resident for two years, died in a Cedar Rapids hospital at 8:15 p.m. Friday following a sudden illness. He was born Sept. 1, 1916, at Waukon.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Hugo Geno of Waukon and Mrs. Armon Klees of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Bernard Deeny of Waukon and Duane Deeny of Chicago.

Mr. Deeny was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Patrick's church at Waukon where services will be held Monday morning. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery at Waukon.

The body was taken from the Turner Chapel to Martin Brothers funeral home at Waukon.
