Funeral services for Mrs. H.H. Deeny, 69, residing near Waukon, were held at St. Mary's church, Lycurgus, requiem mass being celebrated by the Rev. P.H. McNamara. As Sarah Dougherty, daughter of Mr.and Mrs. James Dougherty, she was born Sept. 13, 1866. On Nov. 23, 1897, she was married to Hugh H. Deeny and they established their home on the farm where her death occured. She is survived by her husband and three children: Loretta, at home; Mrs. Peter Sweeney, Jr., and Donald Deeny, residing nearby.
