JAMES DEENY, 93, IS DEAD AT WAUKON
James Deeny, 93, reported to be the oldest Allamakee County resident, died at Waukon Sunday night at 9:30 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harrison Toney, following a two weeks' illness.
He was born in Ireland but he came to America with his parents whe three weeks' old, the family settling on a farm in Allamakee county.
Mr. Deeny lived in Monona with the Harrison Toney family for a number of years, and was well and favorably known here.
Note: A gravestone search lists Ethel Deeney Toney as his daughter, not being spelled Deeny as in the newspaper obituary.
