Rites Wednesday For Former Marion Man
Roy Edward Inger, Jr. 29, died at an El Centro, Calif., hospital last Friday from severe burns suffered in an auto accident Thursday. Formerly of Marion, he had been a resident of El Centro for the last eight years.
He served with the U.S. Air Force for eight years from 1956 to 1965. Mr. Inger was an apprentice machinest at the Central Motor Parts Co., at El Centro. He was born July 27, 1938, at Harpers Ferry, Iowa.
Surviving are two daughters, Shawna Jean Inger and Shannon Michelle Inger of Cedar Rapids; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy E. Inger Sr. of Marion; a brother, Richard Inger of Marion; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Hawkins of Marion.
Services: Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Memories with Dr. John P. Woods of the Westminster Presbyterian church officiating. Military services will be conducted by Legion Hanford Post No.5 at Cedar Memorial cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel of Memories after 9 a.m. The casket will not be open at any time. The family suggest that friends may if they wish contribute to a charitable organization of their choice. Cedar Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
