Last Rites Held For Mrs. Inger

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Inger, 81, of Postville were held Monday morning, Nov.3, at 10 o'clock at the Rossville Presbyterian church with the Rev. Robert Reynolds of Frankville officiating.

Burial was in Oakland cemetery at Waukon.

Mrs. Inger died at the home of her son, Aaron in Marion, Friday afternoon, Oct. 31, at 2:50 o'clock after ill for four weeks. She had gone there to visit at his home and was taken ill with pneumonia.

As Ruth Emma, she was born the daughter of George and Francis Hermen, May 15, 1877, at Anderson, Ind., and came to Iowa at the time of her marriage.

She was married to Aaron Inger, Jan. 4, 1916, at Waukon. They went to live on a farm near Waterville. Her husband died Sept. 2, 1951. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Inger lived with her on the farm for two years after Mr. Inger's death. She then moved with the Wilbur Ingers to Postville in 1953, where she has lived since.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Surviving are three sons, Roy of Cedar Rapids, Aaron of Marion, and Wilbur of Postville, one brother, Ed Hermen of Metropolis, Ill., two half sisters, Eva Hermen and Mrs. Ed (Ada) Stillions of Charles City; six half brothers, Art Hermen of Elgin, Aaron Hermen of Mt. Vernon, Alvin, Jake, Herb and Jiles Hermen of Charles City; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers were three sons, Roy, Aaron, and Wilbur Inger; and half brother, Aaron Hermen.

Mrs. Inger was a member of the Methodist church.
